Not So Usual: Wite-out

First of all, I have this salivary gland right in the front of my mouth that is driving me crazy. I think it is inflamed. I know you were dying to hear about it. I keep trying to pop it in between my teeth because it is painful. But at the same time I'm scared, because that is just gross.

Anyway, everyone in Springfield has been diagnosing themselves with "cabin-fever" because of the recent blizzard. I don't watch the weather channel so I'm not sure how deep it is, but it was a pretty legit snowfall.

I'm a little jealous of all the pictures I keep seeing of people playing in the snow and building snowmen and sledding and running around in swimsuits. The closest thing I've done to 'playing in the snow' is my 10 minute walk from my house to my parents. Which is amusing, because every once in a while I will see someone out there mowing their driveway with those odd snow-thrower-uper contraptions. I guess I shouldn't be laughing... that looks a lot easier than the date I had with a snow shovel. My arms are still sore because I am a wimp.

Speaking of snow covered driveways... can someone please inform the postal workers leaving the YOUR MAILBOX NEEDS ATTENTION (the approach to your box should be kept clear of snow, vehicles, and other obstacles)... that even if we did shovel in front of our mailboxes.. the snowplow dude kind of leaves large mounds of snow when we aren't looking. So, sorry for the inconvenience, but I think the snow is in everyone's way right now... not just yours.

I do miss playing in the snow though! It feels like it has been ages. Keith and I would be outside for hours when we were younger... making epic dives for the football, sledding down the hill until our sled trail wore down to the grass, snowboarding like daredevils down the porch stairs (oh yes, steep stairs at that), and building the worlds best ever snow-fort complete with piles of snowballs for ammunition. And I miss orange juice snow :) Wow. Good times.
